Sweetheart VoxBox…..belated
So recently I signed up to this website called Influenster.
You fill out different reviews for products, make blogs, youtube videos etc. and In turn you get points. Now depending on how many points you have then you could be entered in to receive this thing called a “vox box”. The box I qualified for was the Valentines Day “Sweetheart Voxbox”. It came late-but just around my birthday…so it was a nice surprise.
Sometimes you will get full-sized products…mixed in with a few travel/sample sized products. This box was a little of both.
Let me start off with #4 (yes I know I’m going backwards)…Skinnygirl On-The-Go Bars. I really wasn’t too impressed by this…why? I normally eat my special K bars that come in a few different flavors etc…and…*drum roll* they are 80 CALORIES…vs. the 180 that Skinnygirl contains. So right away I was like *meh* I’ve seen better. Granted the taste was great-anything with greek yogurt is BOMB to me. So as good as it was-I don’t think i would purchase these bars in the future.Why? There are better tasting ones out there with all the goodness….and wayyyy less calories.

#3 Not Your Mother’s She’s A Tease Volumizing Hairspray…
Overall? NOT Impressed. I really have no need for hairspray in general…and this stuff just STINKS. Now mind you not ALL of the NYM line smells… I rather enjoy the sea spray and a few other bits of this line…but this was just a fail for me. Maybe for someone else it’s great. For me? No bueno.

#2 Clinical Strength Stress Response Deodorant *serene citrus scent*. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this deodorant…it’s great! I have been using a green tea and cucumber deodorant for a while now (and that’s already great) but this citrus scent is PERFECT for the spring and summer. Not to mention that when I get stressed out or embarrassed etc. I sweat. Big time. It doesn’t leave a residue like my Dove one does so that’s pretty much amazing too. I will definitely purchase this in the future!

#1 Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing System
This was interesting. I honestly don’t have an issue with acne etc. other than the hormonal breakout every now and then…but I thought this would help keep those little breakouts away completely. And….So far so good! The creme itself has a strange consistency…but overall I like that it doesn’t leave a weird residue on my face…and my face feels legitimately clean after I use the scrubber! Overall this was a win for me…and I’m pretty excited about potentially looking into the rest of this line!
Now of course you’re going to get a mixture of hits and misses in these vox boxes…but that’s the whole point! To broaden your “horizons” and to try new things. How else could you possibly find your new obsession?
